Initiatives to develop body, soul and spirit
- Body - In addition to the usual playground type physical activities and physical education classes, Eagle Heights offers various sports for Jr. High and High School. Check out our Athletics page for details. Our athletic programs all emphasize Christian character, teamwork and the constant reminder that athletics can be a powerful tool that God can use to reach others with the Gospel.
- Soul - In addition to the curriculum discussed above, we endeavor to develop the soul through a challenging diverse academic process. Learn more about it here. Our Fine Arts program is also part of the strategy to develop the soul of our students. Read more about it here.
- Spirit - Last but certainly not least our program to develop the spirit of our students emphasizes practical Bible teaching and preaching in Bible classes and Chapel with real life applications. Biblical servant-leadership is developed through many service opportunities such as weekly ministries to others, Ministry teams (choir and handbells) which travel and minister to others, a shut-in ministry and more. Our high school students attend a Servant Leadership Conference each year and are offered many opportunities to lead and serve throughout the school year on campus. A capstone event for every students occurs their senior year when they spend a week serving at a Navajo Indian Reservation. It is during this week that all the spiritual training seems to make more sense than ever as they step outside their comfort zones, lose themselves in Christ and find their true strength.
